The Skybridge Community

For years, God has been calling people of various professions to live missionally among the peoples of Europe. Some have been vocational missionaries, true, but many have been in the marketplace living out their faith.

The Skybridge Community is made up of those people: businessmen and women, government workers, shop owners, artists, students and others who sense a unique calling on their lives to build relationships and make disciples while working in their professions overseas, just as many believers do in the United States.

The Web site of the Skybridge Community is designed to be a gathering place for believers who are living overseas and want to share what they’ve learned with other like-minded expats. It’s also a place for churches who want to support these non-traditional missionaries to collaborate and maybe even adopt some of these expats who need a spiritual support network in North America. We hope it can be a place where we can talk about what God is teaching us as well as find cultural tips, connect with other like-minded believers, exchange information and more.

If you’re a missional church wanting to learn more about getting involved with the Skybridge Community and believing professionals/students in Europe, check out these FAQs to get you started.

The Upstream Collective doesn’t want to own the Skybridge Community, but we do hope to get the website started. However, it’s going to be a group effort. So if you have Web skills, experience in online communities, a heart for Europe or anything else to offer, we’d welcome your partnership. Write and let us know how you’d like to get connected.
